What one Simplicity customer wrote:
"Let me begin by saying
that my wife says I have a vacuum disorder. I have owned Kenmore's best direct
drive vac, a VAX upright, a Panasonic high-end upright, a Royal RY9200 all metal
monster, a Royal RY8000, a Royal RY7300, a Sanyo Dirt Hunter bagless, and my
last one which I actually kept for a year was a Pro-Team 15XP (Electrolux dual
motor clone). Right now have a new Hoover Double Duty C1830 dual motor
commercial upright that I am in the process of selling. I bought all of these
machines new for ridiculously low prices on Ebay, and then re-sold them on
Craig's List one by one for small profit. This insanity gave me a chance to try
all of these vacuums in my home so that I could find that "perfect
machine." I did not need to try a Dyson, Consumer Reports Magazine made
sure of that, and the fact they look and feel like plastic JUNK. I don't care
about what anyone says, bagged collection of dirt is the cleanest way to do it.
Also, why would anyone wan't to actually look at the dirt they have picked up
through the clear bagless collection container? Those nice clear plastic
collection containers stay clear for about 1 week, after that the dirt spinning
inside "sands" down and scratches the entire inner surface of the
container making the vacuum way older than it really is."
He goes on to report:
"Ok, I plugged in this
vacuum when I got home and went to work. THIS VACUUM PICKED UP SO MUCH DIRT, IT
SEEMED AS THOUGH I HAD NOT VACUUMED FOR A MONTH!!! This was all dirt missed by
that long list of vacuums mentioned above. I used the 10' extra hose and
included horse hair dusting brush, and basically dusted all of my high
furniture. This vacuum is easy to push, and even when I set the height
adjustment to "Auto" it DIGS into the carpet and leaves nice groom
tracks. I love the finger controls for shutting off the brush roll, and I love
the RUBBER wheels on my tile kitchen floor. It is not the quietest vacuum I have
owned, but when you have a pair of 747 motors running inside, what do you
expect. You know when your carpets are clean because you can hear the smallest
specs of dirt entering the vacuum head. The LED headlights are bright, the
bottom plate is stainless steel (not stamped pot metal), the ball bearing
brushroll is aluminum with replaceable brush strip. One thing I will also
mention is that the bags are not paper, they are a high filtration fabric
material, and they cost only $14.95 for a bag of 6. You use the bags only once
and then toss them. I would venture to say that if you were to put Dyson's best
upright next to the Synergy and just observe the differences, you may feel a
little embarrassed that you even considered spending $500 on the Dyson. I am
officially done vacuum shopping. Oh ya, its MADE IN AMERICA!!! If you notice,
all three of the other Simplicity vacuums reviewed here on Epinions have a
"5" star average."
